SSM offers a complete package of in-house staff capability in all phases of sanitary sewerage and water supply services.  Our clients include municipal authorities; municipal governments; private, commercial and industrial water suppliers; and privately-owned sanitary sewer system owners/operators.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water and Wastewater Design Engineer who is passionate and committed to helping us achieve our core purpose to enhance the quality of life | For our clients; for the community; for our employees.

If you…

  • Earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental and/or Civil Engineering
  • Hold a Professional Engineering (P.E.) license
  • Possess a wide and varied range of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects, including sludge handling for municipal and industrial clients
  • Have at least 20 years of direct consulting experience, or at least 10 years of municipal water and wastewater process experience
  • Have demonstrated direct client and project management responsibility
  • Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Have a strong water and wastewater technical background, including extensive knowledge of all project phases, such as conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction      administration
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of biological wastewater treatment, including activated sludge and related processes (e.g., IFAS, BAF, etc.) and modeling of these processes using computerized software
  • Have in-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, and sludge handling; as well as experience with process modeling and hydraulic modeling software
  • Are experienced and adept in marketing, cost estimating, and report and proposal writing
  • Are a team player and embrace being a mentor
